Championship volunteering

The online application process for volunteer positions is live. Click here to apply.

Applicants can review the available positions below and may apply for multiple positions on a single application form.

All appointed officials and volunteers will receive an accreditation pass with lanyard, event program, as well as access to the opening ceremonies and sport development workshop free with their appointment and fulfillment of duties.

Officials and volunteers wishing to attend the welcome lunch or banquet dinner must purchase a function pass (see the Register page for details).

Available opportunities

The following volunteer roles are available:



  • Time and record all events where a time or a time limit is required.



  • Aid in ensuring the correct assembly and implementation of gear and equipment for the competition.



  • Be responsible for ensuring competitors' entries are in order and competitors are marshalled correctly before proceeding to the start line.



  • Act as a victim in emergency response scenarios for the Dry or Aquatic Simulated Emergency Response Competitions.



  • Promptly deliver results from the pool deck to the scoring room and post physical results to the results board onsite.



  • Provide event information as given to all championship attendees as well as local spectators. Venues include each partner hotel and the competition venue.



  • Aid in the setup, sales, and tear-down of championship merchandise at the competition venue.



  • Aid in the delivery of accreditation passes and welcome packages to all registered attendees at the event. Only the first few days of the event.



  • Check attendees' accreditation passes to ensure they have access to various event venues.



  • Aid in the setup, execution and tear-down of all ceremonial aspects of the event including awards ceremonies.



  • Read scripted announcements over the in-pool public announcement system as well as act in a colour commentary role for the livestream.
